Evan had devoted himself to the Purple Ghoul,
a character from his favourite comic book series Space Ignited. How this came to be was that the fan support behind
the character had grown so strong, a small amount of young comic book readers had
crafted a religion to profane to, believing to receive faith from a stupid
fictional comic character. Evan was one of them, it was a second life of his
that he rightfully did not tell anyone about.
For a while the Purple Ghoul played a big
part in Evan’s life, right to the point of him devoting all his life decisions
to it. Evan had decided to take an I.T. course for his college years because he
had never done I.T. but felt keen to try it. This was a decision that did not
suit well with the Purple Ghoul, but Evan only found out after everything was
set for next year. Evan had failed, apparently, how was he able to fix what he
had broken? Explaining to the college he had changed his mind wasn’t enough to
make him learn, other procedures had to be taken.
Evan was going to commit penance, for his
faulty chose. With small hesitation, Evan slashed and hacked at his arm with
his ruler in the rage of the Purple Ghoul, for some reason. Naturally, it
really hurt and Evan was quite persistent. Five minutes later, he was joggling
on the floor in pain, believing the punishment had been well delivered. For
fifteen minutes Evan lay on his floor clearing his mind of unpleasant thoughts.
The pain had faded to an extent, and he found himself wistful for what he had
just done. Evan had never inflicted self harm for the Purple Ghoul before, and
it felt unnecessary. He stood up, went
into his bathroom and cooled his had in the sink. He then sat behind his laptop
and started to practice some I.T. skills he found he had. Despite his insane
obsessions, Evan is a versatile man who enjoyed trying anything new. I am happy
to say he did his I.T. course very well, so well he faded the Purple Ghoul from
his mind.
