A Blue Light?

Today Morris Jr. was the fittest man alive, running with all his might to his job interview while his heavy stout bobbed up and down all the way. This was the most exercise Morris Jr. was able to achieve since he wasn’t sure when. This job interview could not be missed nonetheless.
Unless…

A blue light?

Morris Jr. skidded along the path and froze to something truly whimsical. In the bushes in a local park, an incredibly bright blue light was hidden seemingly glowing brighter and darker as if it was breathing. Suddenly all the panic of being late faded as Morris Jr. continued to get tempted by the blue alien appearing light. “Morris Jr.” it spoke. Morris Jr. startled, wondering if this blue light was meant only for him. “Me?” he dumfoundedly asked. “Yes, that’s you isn’t it, I must ask you a precious favour,” spoke the light again. Without affirming anything Morris Jr. made his way closer to the blue light. “Morris Jr.” it went, “can you touch me?” Morris Jr. turned off from being entranced and instead became suspicious about the possibly cheekiness of the blue light. “Morris I’m only I blue light, please just touch me?” the blue light asked again sedately. Morris Jr. shrugged and figure little harm would come from touching a whimsical blue light. So he did; then…

ZAPP!

It was now noon and Morris Jr. lay unconscious in the bushes where he touched the blue light. Upon standing up, he felt himself splutter for a moment as if he had recently thrown up something. He realized something quite large had changed from him. Getting up did not feel as heavy as before, simply because he wasn’t as heavy as before. His fat had vanished and without any exercise his body was fit and well build. Wow this’ll look great for the interview, Morris Jr. thought. The interview!

Despite having been four hours late, Morris Jr. unknowing thought he could make it. The people at the job interview were stern and peremptory, allowing for no reasoning or second chances. Morris Jr. went home disappointed, but feeling very uplifting, as there somehow wasn’t any fat any more to life. He thought back to the beguile blue light, and why it was so keen to relieve Morris Jr. of so much weight. Nevertheless he went home thinking about how he can try something else tomorrow.
