Grandma's Meditation

Once there was an invariable tradition, held by a cult family. They were a quiet cult, who sat out in the public and quietly meditated. Why did they do it? Why outside so everyone can see? Never explained, as they have to meditate all day and cannot be disturbed to explain why. At the very least people found this a kilter cult, one that doesn’t  force others to pay attention to there ways, that was until grandma had enough.
It was a clear day perfect for another public meditation session. Outside in the town square the family sat, having enough people to leave an impression on. Then grandma stood up, un-noticed by the rest of the family, who were still busy meditating. She traveled to the center of town center unnoticed by anyone, thinking about something to extemporize and grab other people’s attention.
“Tonight!” grandma cried, “Tonight people, your grief will be realized,
your un-restful minds will be found by the great pazuzu, who will pummel you all into submission.” Some pedestrians did stop to listen to grandma, while others simply shared a glance of disinterest. “People I meditate with my shitey family in order to cleanse my constantly thinking mind, constantly creating new ideas every minute, inferior ideas that should not be realized. But with the power of meditation I am able to cleanse myself and start anew with my thoughts.”
People were baffled by the perversity grandma was explaining to them.

The rest of the family, who now realized what grandma was doing, continued to meditate, while grandma unanimously continued to shout. “Everyone let us all sit down and meditate please, there is still time to save us all, join me here on the town square right now, join me and cleanse your thoughts.” Grandma sat down and meditated, while everyone continued about their day.

Grandma meditated for hours, often getting shouted at for being in the center of town center. Eventually the police found her and suggested she returned back to her home as, the whole family had gone home without her. There wasn’t an answer, the police officer gave her a nudge, and a limp body flopped down onto the ground.
